10 3D Models to Make for Your Apple Devices

On September 9th, Apple will be holding its annual September event. If you're a fan of the brand, you're probably excited to see what innovations the company has planned. And if you're into 3D printing, you know that new Apple products open up a world of fresh design possibilities.

To help inspire you, we've put together a list of ten awesome 3D-printed models designed specifically for Apple products. We encourage you to print them, remix them, and redesign them as you wait for the next big thing Apple has in store.

1. Apple AirTag Keychain Holder

Apple AirTag Keychain Holder

For a simple way to securely attach an Apple AirTag to your keys, look no further than this Apple AirTag Keychain Holder by Zwurli. This holder has a slight split where the keyring attaches to make it easy to insert your AirTag. And with the keyring attached, the AirTag will stay put. It's also a quick print, taking only about 15 minutes. That's so fast you could print one for every set of keys you own!

2. Gyroscopic AirTag Keychain

Gyroscopic AirTag Keychain

For even more fun, this gyroscopic AirTag Keychain Ring by DennisP is a unique way to keep your Apple AirTag attached to your keys or backpack. It prints in place, and there are no parts to put together. Just print it, pull it off the build plate, and insert your AirTag. This model uses a friction fit and I've found it holds your AirTag quite snug. Now you'll have a stylish way to keep track of your items.

3. Cute Animal-Themed AirTag Keychain Case

Animal-Themed AirTag Keychain

If the previous two AirTag keychain holders didn't work for you, then maybe this cute animal-themed AirTag Keychain Case by Alex Krush is more your style. Available in bunny, ghost, cat, and plain designs, this case will certainly get some second looks. And since these cases don't have any moving parts, they're super easy to print. These two took less than 20 minutes together.

4. Apple Watch Nightstand

Apple Watch Nightstand

Robert Hagström created this minimalist Apple Watch Nightstand that's designed to be used with your standard Apple Watch MagSafe charger. It even has a small slot to route the charger's wiring, and a raised section in the rear, so the nightstand will sit flat. Robert recommends you print this model with support, and I found that printing with the T-shaped portion on the build plate gave the best results.

5. Replacement Apple Watch Band

Apple Watch Band

Need a new band for your Apple Watch? Why not print one? This Apple Watch Band from Nathan_Wong can help replace a broken or lost watch band. It should be noted that you will likely need to purchase an adapter to secure the band to your Apple Watch, but they can be found relatively inexpensively. While not the most durable solution to a broken watch band, this one will get you by in a pinch. And since it's 3D printed, you can print it in any color that matches your style.

6. Among Us AirPods Case

For a gaming-inspired way to store your AirPods, be sure to check out this Among Us-Inspired AirPods Case by JD. It prints in two parts, and when assembled, the case resembles the famous Imposter from the popular game Among Us. It's quite an unusual print. But, if you're someone who loves the game, you're sure to appreciate this case's one-of-a-kind design.

7. 40 mm Apple Watch Charging Dock

Apple Watch Charging Dock

Talk about a dose of nostalgia. This Apple Watch Charging Dock is a throwback to the early days of Apple. Designed by Aaron Mabarrack, the dock turns your 40 mm Apple Watch into a tiny 1985 Macintosh computer. It even comes complete with a miniature keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately, you may need a bit of filing or sanding to get it to fit your Apple Watch just right. But doing so is really worth the extra effort!

8. Apple Watch Band Hanger

Next on our list is this Apple Watch Band Hanger by designer IZ Labs. After realizing they had quite a few Apple Watch bands, IZ Labs came up with the idea to hang and display those bands in an interesting way. This print is shaped like a tiny coat hanger, and it takes only about 15 minutes to print. So, if you have extra Apple Watch bands around, and you're not sure what to do with them, this is the perfect print for you.

9. MacBook Air Vertical Stand

MacBook Air Vertical Stand

If you want a way to store your MacBook Air M2 or other similar-sized MacBook model, this MacBook Air M2 Stand by Jirka S. is just the ticket. It's stable and sturdy, and as you can see it more than accommodates my 2023 MacBook Air M2. Featuring a cutout design that resembles Swiss cheese, and a wide base, this print will help you preserve the space on your desk by propping your MacBook upright.

10. Apple Watch Stand—Mickey Version

Apple Watch Stand—Mickey Version

No matter who you are, you're sure to recognize the familiar silhouette of the world's most famous mouse in this Apple Watch Stand by pierre0412. Disney fans will love this clever way of showcasing their love for Mickey and their appreciation for quality Apple products. When an Apple Watch MagSafe charger is installed in the print, it locks tightly in place. The cable is then smartly rerouted through the body and out of the rear of the print.
