Terrible. I can’t get it to print right. The nozzle got stuck in last and sheared off. Totally replaced the whole extruder and hot end and still not happy. Bought a Bambu and haven’t stopped printing.
Anker was fast at processing my order and getting my printer back up and running. Anker could place some information about the part. I would like to know if this is an upgraded part. Etc. I would like to know that this printer head unit has an all metal or if it is the pft tub. There isn't a way to find out unless I tear apart the new part.
The extruder assembly is similar but needs modification to work with the Kickstarter machine I have. I made the modifications, installed, powered up and all was fine…Until the machine attempted autolevel. Fails immediately.
I have the Kickstarter edition of the M5, and the print head has been updated. The online instructions have not been updated to reflect the new mechanics, but they are close enough to work. The new print head has resolved the issues that over 800 hours of use had done to the prior head.
Overall, it is a complete, near snap-in replacement if your extruder is all messed up. Tightening the belt and getting it on the rail was the only difficult thing. The one thing I disliked is how delicate the parts cooling fan shrouds are. The bottom of one popped off when a print failed. Looks like I can super glue it back on, but what a pain.
